On the final day of camp, we will again have a morning workout followed by breakfast and a technical training session. To conclude camp, we will have remarks by ISKA President, Sensei Rick Llewelyn, and a special Q&A with all presenting Instructors, which promises to be a very stimulating conversation. Training topics range from purely Karate related kihon, kata, bunkai (kata application) self-defense drills, kumite drills, yoga and stretching, meditation, various weapons practice, and sometimes surprise topics by visiting Sensei. Always interesting and guaranteed you will encounter new ideas and friendly faces. Summer Camp ScheduleRegistration opens on Friday at 3pm and continues through Sunday morning.

Getting to Camp
YMCA Camp Jones Gulch is located at 11000 Pescadero Road, La Honda, CA, nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Depending on traffic, it takes about an hour to drive up the mountain from the San Francisco International Airport or the San Jose Mineta Airport. Please make sure you leave enough time to get to camp on time. Click here for driving directions. Note that there is limited reception, we recommend having offline directions to and from camp.
The YMCA Camp has 4 Villages and the ISKA Summer Camp will be held at the Wasiata Village at the YMCA Camp. The logistics of the YMCA camp are similar to the ones at the Fish Camp with bunkhouse accommodations. One major advantage is that the YMCA Camp is located an hour from the San Francisco or San Jose airports, for easy access via Super Shuttle, other airport shuttles or Uber, which is a plus for participants traveling from International and other domestic locations. We will also have a dedicated training hall, the Perkins Lodge, separate from the dining hall.
