ISKA History in Panamá
Panamá is known as the link between the East and West, at least when it comes to global commerce and the movement of material goods between nations.. It is geographically the link between Central and South America as well as between the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean. The significance of Panamá and the construction and maintenance of the Canal on commerce and movement of goods and ideas continues to be an important factor in the importance of Panamá in the global sphere. Unsurprisingly, Panamá has a very rich and diverse cultural heritage. |
Panamá is also a very special place for ISKA History. It was here that Master Vincent Cruz was stationed with the US Air Force and taught many young eager men the art of karate and tactical self-defense over the course of a few years. His impact on Karate instruction in this part of the world is undeniable as there are thousands of students within his lineage continuing to practice.

Panamá City Hotel Accommodations - Recommendations
There are many wonderful hotels in Panamá City to choose from. We recommend staying at the Country Inn Suites (Panamá Canal), which is on the Amador Causeway (the entrance to the Panamá Canal on the Pacific Ocean). The hotel is located in a quiet area close enough to get to the heart of the city and convenient to visiting the Panamá Canal Locks, the Biodiversity Museum, the ferry to Taboga Island, and you can catch a shuttle to Albrook Mall at the hotel. Once you are at the Mall, you can also access the Metro (the train) and can go all over the city. The hotel is about 30 minutes away from the Tocumen Airport.
