Flights & Accommodations

Reservations will need to be made separately for flights and hotel accommodations (no group package is being offered), but we will try to coordinate plans as much as possible.

Expedia and Travelocity are offering competitive flight + hotel packages for the Decameron, averaging $190-275, double occupancy. Flights (from San Francisco) on Copa Airlines range from $400 and up during those dates as it is towards the end of the tourist season. Flights from the Caribbean or from the East Coast will likely be cheaper. (Airport code in Panama is PTY)

Recommended Travel Dates

Since the ISKA Panama Camp begins on Monday, May 1st, we are recommending that attendees plan to arrive at the Decameron resort on the preceding Saturday or Sunday (April 29th or 30th) to get acclimated before training begins.

We recommend staying at the Decameron from Apr. 29th - May 4th and then either continuing your stay there to see sites around that area or move to a hotel in Panama City in order to take advantage of some of the sites listed below.

Panama City Hotel Accommodations - Recommendations
There are many wonderful hotels in Panama City to choose from. Hanshi Llewelyn has already planned to stay at the Country Inn Suites (Panama Canal) after May 4th. Prices are ranging from $80-120 per night. 24 hour Shuttle service to the airport is available through this property for a fee.

Sightseeing in Panama

Panama has many sites of interest, natural and man made that you will want to be sure to check out while you are there!
